School Tip Hotline

The Oswego Police Department and Oswego Community Unit School District 308 have partnered to create a program that allows students and parents to anonymously provide tips about criminal activity occurring on school district property. Calls to the tip program will be answered at the current main number for the Oswego Police, 630-551-7300. Information obtained through the tip line will be investigated by school district staff and/or Oswego Police. Students providing tips that lead to an arrest will be eligible to receive a cash reward.

The caller should be ready to write down a number in which will be assigned to them after the tip is given. The caller should call back on a weekly basis to see if their tip led to an arrest and is eligible for the cash reward. At no point will you be asked your identity making this process anonymous.

The Oswego Police Department and Oswego Community Unit School District 308 continue to work together to provide a safe environment for students, staff, and families. This program is expected to be a useful tool in helping achieve this by empowering students to help make their educational experience safe and rewarding.
