Employee of the Month
In keeping with the spirit of providing a quality work environment, the department has established an “Employee of the Month” program to recognize those employees that make the department a better place to work.
The employee of the month is open to any member of the department.
- Any member of the department or citizen may nominate an employee for the honor by completing the Employee of the Month Nomination Form. The completed form shall be forwarded to the Office of the Chief of Police. Selection of the award winner shall be made by the Chief of Police and the Division Commanders.
- The criteria considered when nominating and selecting the candidate shall be: loyalty, superior performance, initiative, influence on the morale of fellow employees or the community, creativity / resourcefulness and a demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of the Department.
- In order for a nomination to be considered, it must be submitted by the 3rd day of the following month.
The candidate selected for the employee of the month award shall receive a certificate from the Department documenting the award. The recipient shall also have a reserved parking space in the department parking lot for the next calendar month where he/she can park their personal vehicle. The department photograph of the recipient on display in the lobby will be identified as the employee of the month.
