Oswego Police Citizen’s Police Academy
2012.01.27 - The Oswego Police Department still has space available for its next Citizen’s Police Academy tentatively beginning March 7, 2012. Classes will be held on Wednesday’s from 6:30pm – 8:30pm and will run for 12 weeks in the Community Room at the Oswego Law Enforcement Center.

2012.01.17 - The Oswego Police Department will be participating in an event on February 15th with Oswego School District 308 that will focus on teen safety and parent accountability regarding the use of alcohol, synthetic drugs and illegal substances by minors.

2011.11.03 - AutoSmart and Keith’s Car Care are hosting a FREE child safety seat check. Certified child passenger safety technicians will instruct parents and caregivers on proper use and installation of child restraints.

Trivia Night for Special Olympics Illinois
2011.10.13 - The Oswego Police Department, members of Special Olympics Illinois, and the Oswego Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Trivia Knight to support Special Olympics Illinois on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 6:00pm at the Oswego Columbus Hall at 197 East Washington Street.

Fundraiser for Special Olympics Illinois
2011.09.22 - On Monday, October 3rd, 2011 Oswego Police Officers and other department staff will be participating in a Tip-a-Cop fundraising event at Buffalo Wild Wings at 1550 Douglas Road to support the Special Olympics Illinois. Buffalo Wild Wings has agreed to donate 10% of total bills to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois.

2011.09.20 - The Oswego Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to maintain accreditation by verifying that it meets a set of nationally recognized standards.
