Basic Women’s Self Defense and Awareness Class offered by Oswego Police

The Oswego Police Department will be offering a class on “Basic Women’s Self Defense and Awareness” on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Village of Oswego’s Women’s Topics Life Fair being held at the Oswego High School, 4250 Route 71, Oswego. The session will run from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a maximum of 10 participants allowed. Those interested can pre-register by contacting Officer Drew Santa at 630-551-7355 or email him at Dsanta@oswegopoliceil.org. The pre-registration deadline is Friday, February 5th, 2010. Participants need to provide their name, phone number and number of those wishing to attend. Participants need to be at least 15 years old and will be required to sign a waiver of release form. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. With a maximum of 10 participants we encourage anyone interested to call early. Similar classes offered in the past have been filled to capacity.
