Pre-Winter Vehicle Safety Inspection for Seniors
2009.09.03

Seniors can get their vehicle checked for safety prior to the tough winter months. The Oswego Police Department, in conjunction with the Oswego East High School Automotive Club, will be hosting it’s 2nd annual Pre-Winter Vehicle Safety Inspection for seniors. This event in 2008 had an overwelming response.

The event is sponsored by the Kendall County TRIAD and Keith’s Car Care of Oswego. The event will include free vehicle safety inspections completed by Oswego East High School Automotive Club members and supervised by instructors.

Items in the 25 point safety check include fluids, lights, belts, hoses, and tire pressure. No vehicle maintenance will be conducted, but Keith’s Car Care will be offering discounted coupons to those needing maintenance work.

The event will be held October 17th from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, on the west side of the Oswego East High School’s campus, 1525 Harvey Rd, Oswego. The inspections will take between 15 to 20 minutes and are free of charge. Coffee and refreshments will be available inside while you wait.

Appointments are necessary and are first come first serve so please contact Officer Brian Nehring at the Oswego Police Department at 630-551-7358.
