Independence Day Fireworks Event July 3rd
2015.06.24 - The Oswego Police Department will again limit parking and travel routes prior to and immediately following the annual Independence Day fireworks event occurring on Friday, July 3rd 2015. The fireworks display will be set up at the Prairie Point Community Park, which is located on the Prairie Point Elementary School grounds between Plainfield and Grove Roads.

The Village of Oswego Police Department is reminding the public to expect increased traffic congestion and delays in Oswego beginning Thursday, June 18th , through Sunday, June 21st due to PrairieFest activities.
2015.06.09 - Motorists should expect delays in particular while traveling on the following: Illinois Route 71 between US Route 34 and Forrest Avenue; Plainfield Road between Illinois Route 71 and Wooley Road; and on the streets of Madison, Washington and Main in the downtown Oswego area.

The Oswego Police Department is pleased to announce the recent graduation of Sergeant Jason Bastin from the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University.
2015.05.18 - The School of Police Staff and Command (SPSC) is an intensive ten-week program designed to prepare today's progressive law enforcement supervisors for senior command positions by uniquely combining academic principles with practical applications. Since the program launched in 1983, the SPSC has received enthusiastic response from executives and participants throughout the country.

Re: Oswego Soccer Festival 2015
2015.05.15 - The Village of Oswego Police Department is reminding the public to expect increased traffic congestion and delays in Oswego Friday May 22nd, Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th due to the Oswego Soccer Festival. The games will be held at Prairiefest Park on the south side of Oswego High School. Motorists should expect delays in particular while traveling on Route 71, between Route 34 and Forest Avenue. Delays will also occur on Washington Street/Plainfield Road and Grove roads near this event.
