Prevent Identify Theft: Spring Free Paper Shredding Event
2015.04.10 - Identity theft is a serious crime. Those who are victimized can spend countless hours and money cleaning up the mess thieves have made of oneís good name and credit record. Vigilance in protecting personal information is crucial.

The Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) conducted an onsite inspection of the Oswego Police Departmentís jail and lockup facilities.
2015.03.24 - The Oswego Police Department was found to be in compliance with all applicable Illinois Municipal Jail and Lockup Standards. A full copy of the Municipal Jail and Lockup Inspection Report is available at the Oswego Police Department's website.

The Oswego Police Department still has space available for its next Citizen's Police Academy tentatively beginning March 4, 2015.
2015.01.29 - Classes will be held on Wednesday's from 6:30pm - 8:30pm and will run for 12 weeks in the Community Room at the Oswego Law Enforcement Center. Class size will have a minimum of 12 participants, with a maximum of 20. Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age, reside in, own property, or operate a business within the Village.
