The Oswego Police Department still has space available for its next Citizen's Police Academy
2015.12.01 - The Oswego Police Department still has space available for its next Citizen's Police Academy tentatively beginning February 3, 2016. Classes will be held on Wednesday's from 6:30pm - 8:30pm and will run for 13 weeks in the Community Room at the Oswego Law Enforcement Center. Class size will have a minimum of 12 participants, with a maximum of 20. Eligible applicants must be 18 years of age, reside in, own property, or operate a business within the Village.

2015.11.09 - The Village of Oswego Police Department is reminding the public to expect increased traffic congestion and delays on Sunday, November 15, 2015, in the downtown area of Oswego due to the Oswegoland Park District Gobbler Hobbler 10K run.

Oswego Police Begin Using Alternative Fuel for Squads
2015.11.02 - In an effort towards goals of cost savings as well as eco-friendly Village practices, the Oswego Police Department will begin using alternative fuels for squad cars.

The Oswego Police Department and Oswego Community Unit School District 308 have partnered to create a program that allows students and parents to anonymously provide tips about criminal activity occurring on school district property.
